Humber adds two-day Editing Indigenous Manuscripts workshop

Toronto’s Humber College is adding a condensed two-day Editing Indigenous Manuscripts workshop to its week-long summer program.

The workshops, which run Aug. 13–19, are divided into two streams, with some shared programming and faculty. The Editing Indigenous Manuscripts program covers the basics for non-Indigenous editors and publishers. The new two-day workshop, running Aug. 14–15, will provide an abbreviated overview of the course. The second stream, the Indigenous Editors Circle, is aimed at participants looking to learn best practices and protocols for handling Indigenous texts.

This is the first time these workshops will be offered at Humber. The program launched in 2014 in Saskatoon, under the leadership of the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
