Drawn & Quarterly editor Tom Devlin has acquired North American English-language rights to Kate Beaton’s follow-up to her best-selling 2011 collection Hark! A Vagrant. Step Aside, Pops: A Hark! A Vagrant Collection takes a satirical look at more historical and contemporary figures in the vein of Beaton’s popular web comic.

The title, slated for September 2015 publication, will be distributed by Raincoast Books in Canada and Farrar, Straus & Giroux in the U.S. The deal was arranged by Seth Fishman of the Gernert Company.
