Glad Day Bookshop helps build library at LGBTQS youth shelter

Glad-Day-bookshop-webToronto’s Glad Day Bookshop has launched a charity project to support Sprott House, Canada’s first LGBTQ2S youth shelter, which was founded last summer and opens in February.

The bookseller is donating more than $800 of books toward a library at the shelter, but is looking to the public for further contributions.

Glad Day is accepting book donations in-person – at 598 Yonge Street – offering $1 in store credit for every two books donated, up to $10. Readers can also pick titles from the store’s selection to donate, and will receive 30 per cent off books they choose to give this way. Donation lists, as well as any questions about the initiative, can be sent to [email protected].
