Munro, Coupland get Writers’ Trust nods

The shortlists for the 2009 Writers’ Trust prizes were announced at Ben McNally Books in Toronto this morning. The nominees are:

The Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize ($25,000):

    This prize stuff is nauseating. You’d think a writer making $$$ off his or her works wouldn’t be accepting these handouts. And if they’re not making any $$$ off their stuff, they shouldn’t be cluttering the bookshelves with their books.
