Kowalski, Kimber, Domanski take home East Coast Literary Awards

Last night, the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia revealed the winners of the annual East Coast Literary Awards. The awards, hosted this year at the Institute of Applied Creativity at NSCAD University,  recognize and celebrate exceptional literary works from Canada’s Atlantic region published the year prior.

William Kowalski received the $25,000 Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award for his novel, The Hundred Hearts (Dundurn Press). Stephen Kimber was presented with the Evelyn Richardson Non-fiction Award for What Lies Across the Water (Fernwood), and Don Domanski was the recipient of the $2,000 J.M. Abraham Poetry Award for Bite Down Little Whisper (Brick Books).

The submission deadline for next year’s awards is Dec. 5.
