Patreon

Comic-book writer and ChiZine editor Peter Chiykowski has a title appearing under ChiGraphic in May

Toronto’s ChiZine Publications is launching a new graphic novel imprint called ChiGraphic this spring.

Winnipeg graphic novelist GMB Chomichuk’s neo-noir Infinitum, about love and time travel, and Aurora Award winner Peter Chiykowski’s collection H.M.S. Bad Idea, featuring the work of more than 40 guest illustrators, will launch May 12. The titles will be available at this year’s Toronto Comic Arts Festival May 9  10 and at KeyCon 32 in Winnipeg May 14  17.

The Lady ParaNorma, Vincent Marcone’s story of a lonely woman who finds kinship with ghosts, will follow in the fall.

ChZine co-publisher Sandra Kasturi says in a press release:

ChiGraphic has been in the works for a while, but we hope people will appreciate the time and effort. We’ve always been fans of comics and graphic novels and we want to produce things that are both amazing stories and works of art. We’re excited to see fans’ reactions when they have these beautiful books in their hands.

The imprint will be open to submissions in July.
