Note: Due to the nature of the government grant partially funding this position, only applicants who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or refugees, and were full-time students in their colleges for the previous year as well as being enrolled full-time for the upcoming year will be considered for this internship.

We are a small publisher of children’s books looking to hire a student intern for the summer, to provide administrative and editorial support to the publishing team of the company, including the publisher, the editor and the designer. He/she will be involved in the entire publishing process. The student will be supporting the editorial staff in all activities leading to publication, including copy writing, editing and proofing. Other tasks include organizing and researching projects to tight deadlines, updating and rewriting material for the company website as well as in the books identified for print/reprint, and participating in the art direction and design of publications.

Completion according to project timelines is essential. Pay: $11.40 CAD/hour. The employment will begin in mid-May and run for 12 weeks. Fluency in English and French would be an asset.
