The Canadian Children’s Book Centre is following up its successful So You Want to Get Published! seminar with a special event “just for illustrators.”

A panel of experts including author-illustrators Barbara Reid and Patricia Storms, Groundwood Books art director Michael Solomon, and Kids Can Press editorial director Yvette Ghione will address a range of topics, from how to get started as a children’s book illustrator to how publishers choose illustrators for each project, and more.

The seminar will be held April 23 at the Toronto Public Library’s Northern District branch. The cost of the event is $100. Registration is open, but limited. Participants will each receive a copy of the CCBC’s Get Published! The Writing for Children Kit.
