The Canadian Children’s Book Centre has announced its latest seminar, which focuses on self-promotion for authors: “The Business of Writing: Selling Your Books, Selling Yourself.”

A panel of experts comprising author-illustrator Debbie Ohi, authors Helaine Becker and Joel Sutherland, and Felicia Quon, Simon & Schuster Canada vice president of marketing and publicity will discuss what authors can do to promote their work, including making the most of social media and reaching out to schools and libraries.

The seminar will be held November 26 at the Toronto Public Library’s Northern District branch. The cost of the event is $100, and registration is now open.
