The Writers’ Trust of Canada has won $25,000 in funding thanks to the RBC Emerging Artists Project.

RBC, which sponsors the Writers’ Trust RBC Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers, conducted a public poll asking which of six arts organizations representing various disciplines – the National Ballet of Canada, the Toronto International Film Festival, Canada’s Walk of Fame, the Canadian Stage, the Canadian Art Foundation, and the Writers’ Trust of Canada – should be granted additional funding. The Writers’ Trust won, garnering 35.1 per cent of the votes cast.

The remaining organizations will receive $5,000 each.
