Editorial changes at Q&Q

Q&Q today announced some masthead changes. After five years in the role, editor Stuart Woods is stepping down. (His last day will be July 18.) Replacing him as editor is Q&Q’s current Web editor, Sue Carter Flinn.

Q&Q publisher Alison Jones issued the following statement:

Changes are afoot at Quill & Quire. Stuart Woods will be leaving the company in July to spend time with his wife and soon-to-be arriving baby, and returning to school in the fall. I want to thank him for his great work, and for always handling his job with equanimity and wit.

I am very happy to announce that taking over for Stuart will be Sue Carter Flinn. Sue has been quillandquire.com’s editor since 2011 as well as having key print magazine responsibilities. She is the arts and ideas editor for This Magazine, was arts & deputy Editor of The Coast and thecoast.ca, and has won numerous awards for her writing and online work.

I predict a bright future for all involved.
