The ReLit Awards, Canada’s prize for small press“published literature, were handed out last night at the Ottawa International Writers Festival. The winning authors are: Michael Kenyon, for his novel The Beautiful Children (Thistledown Press); Stuart Ross, for his short story collection Buying Cigarettes for the Dog (Freehand Books); and Gillian Jerome, for her poetry collection Red Nest (Nightwood Editions).
