The National Reading Campaign has announced that the second annual Reading Town Canada will be held in Charlottetown, P.E.I., in partnership with the P.E.I. Literary Alliance and the Confederation Centre Public Library, and in Calgary, Alberta, in cooperation with Calgary Reads.

The “celebration of everything related to reading” will take place May 2—May 9.

Return events will include Blind Date With a Canadian Book, where readers choose free CanLit titles based on limited descriptions, and Pizza Pie Poems, where a poem is delivered with each pizza ordered. New events like Books 2 Eat, where attendees prepare edible works of art inspired by books, and the announcement of the 2015 One Book One Island selection, are also planned.
