How to Be Alone co-creators release feature film at TIFF

heartbeatOn Sept. 6, Halifax director Andrea Dorfman premieres her new movie, Heartbeats, at the Toronto International Film Festival. The feature film, about a heartbroken musician with stage fright, stars Tanya Davis, Dorfman’s co-creator of the 2009 video-poem How to Be Alone, which to date has more than 6.8 million YouTube views.

Following viral success of the video, the creative duo was approached by HarperCollins to produce an illustrated book version featuring Davis’s words and Dorfman’s paintings. How to Be Alone was published October 2013.
