Gore Verbinski to direct adaptation of Guy Delisle’s Pyongyang

Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, Rango) will produce and direct an adaptation of Guy Delisle’s 2005 graphic novel Pyongyang: A Journey in North Korea (Drawn & Quarterly), about the Quebec-born artist’s travels through the communist country.

Acquired by the production company New Regency, the script will be written by Steve Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness, The Weatherman).
