Young reader has a few words for Binky the Space Cat

The fine folks at Kids Can Press have shared a letter they received from a young reader.

Jimmy, who lives in Louisville, Colorado, wants to “set things straight” for Binky the Space Cat, the feline star of Ashley Spires’ popular chapter-book series.

Kids Can communication strategist Michaela Cornell says, “We managed to track down the straight-talking Jimmy to his elementary school and let him know that we loved his letter and wanted to share it far and wide – he agreed and his entire class wanted to shake his hand.”

Spires, who wrapped up the five-title Binky Adventure series in September, has a new book coming out this April. The Most Magnificent Thing is about a girl and her “canine assistant.”
