Canadian Culinary Book Award winners announced

Cuisine Canada and the University of Guelph announced the winners of the 2011 Canadian Culinary Book Awards on Nov. 7 at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto. The winning books were selected from 82 entries across six categories in two languages.

English Special Interest Award

English Canadian Culinary Culture Award

  • Gold: Flavours of Prince Edward Island: A Culinary Journey by Jeff McCourt, Allan Williams, and Austin Clement (Whitecap Books)
  • Silver: The Boreal Gourmet: Adventures in Northern Cooking by Michele Genest (Harbour Publishing)

English-Language Cookbooks Award

  • Gold: 3 Chefs: The Kitchen Men by Michael Bonacini, Massimo Capra, and Jason Parsons (Whitecap and Madison Press Books)
  • Silver: Vij’s at Home: Relax, Honey by Meeru Dhalwala and Vikram Vij (Douglas & McIntyre)
