Revisiting the making of A Softer World

Open Book Toronto is celebrating Graphic Novel Month by posting videos made by the Toronto-based production company Vepo Studios last year.

The first spotlighted video is “Making A Softer World,” in which Emily Horne and Joey Comeau tell how the quirky, often dark web comic A Softer World was born, and demonstrate how the two (Emily doing the photography and Joey doing the writing) make a strip.

The timing of this post probably has something to do with the launch of Comeau’s latest novel, One Bloody Thing After Another, published by ECW Press, which takes place tonight at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto.
