A quick one: Obama and McCain weigh in on fave books

CBS’s Katie Couric has asked the American candidates about their favourite books. McCain picks a soldier’s story, Hemingway’s For Whom the Bell Tolls, while Obama goes with Toni Morrison’s Song of Solomon (after first citing the Bible, as a Democratic presidential hopeful must).

Sarah Palin is not mentioned, though Quillblog assumes that her answer would have been, “Oh, just all of them – all the books are my favourite.”

Or. she might have come up with something clever like: I once saw a copy of Anna Karenina from across a room. I loved the ending!

Lou, are you really Heather Mallick? Really, we know it is women who hate this woman the most. Maybe this is Erica Jong.
