>I saw the words ‘authors’ and ‘$125 million’ flash across the screen. Does >this mean I’m rich?

Yes! According to the Authors Guild website,

“If your book was scanned and you own all the rights, you’ll get a small share of this, at least $60, depending on how many rights-holders file claims. ”

And in comparison with the remuneration that most writers receive, that’s a fortune! And all you have to do to get this windfall is to let Google off the hook for their wanton copyright infringement, and agree to allow them to carry on displaying scans of your books. Well done, Authors Guild!
