Let’s keep on talking about Celine

Toronto writer Carl Wilson has struck publicity gold with his book about Celine Dion, Let’s Talk About Love. As you can see here, the book is getting the kind of mainstream media attention that other books in the 33 1/3 series (which celebrates classic albums and typically appeals only to music geeks) can only dream of.

Of course, the blogosphere is also all over the book – hardly surprising, since Wilson maintains the popular music blog Zoilus. One recent addition: Wilson wrote an entry for the music blog Largehearted Boy on songs that influenced him while he was writing Let’s Talk About Love. And here’s some live footage from the Toronto launch for the book a couple of weeks ago – otherwise known as the hipster congregation of the season – for which Wilson got his buddy Owen Pallett (aka Final Fantasy) to play a Celine song.
