Friday Photo: The Chicken Barn bookstore
This week’s Friday Photo comes courtesy of Montreal photographer Kate Hutchinson, who took the photos for Q&Q cover profiles of Charlotte Gray, Heather O’Neill, Anita Rau Badami, Neil Bissoondath, and Neil Smith. According to Hutchinson’s blog, this is a shot of a bookstore in Maine called The Chicken Barn. (Guess why it’s called that.) Looking at that empty chair under the brightly lit window, you almost start to wonder if the Rapture came, after all.
