Dundurn Press has a new blog. Bearing the slightly over-grand title of Defining Canada, the blog’s mission statement promises “the latest news direct from Dundurn whether it may be an announcement, a recent review of our book, special events that we may be holding, and so on.”

There’s not a lot on there so far – mostly shots of new Dundurn titles being read by staffers or lying on copies of The Globe & Mail. (No old issue of Q&Q sitting in the office?) A new post, on Peter Pigott’s book Canada in Afghanistan, may be the start of an attempt to place their titles within the context of a larger discussion, which is probably a smart way to go for any publisher blog, since in-house promotional messages have less traction than current events.
