Friday Photo: Summer Read

This week’s Friday photo comes courtesy of Flickr photographer Brittany. We may be jumping the gun a little, but given the very recent and very welcome uptick in temperatures around these parts, we felt we needed an image that didn’t feature ice and snow.

Have you recently attended a book reading, library event, or author appearance? Have some interesting book-related pictures you want to share? If you’ve got photos of the Canadian book scene, we’d love to see them.Send them to us or sign up through Flickr and submit your images.

Perhaps a photo not quite so autumnal, might have conveyed the onset of Spring better?

Inside: In the January/February issue of Q&Q, now on newsstands, we look back on the decade that was, highlighting the people, books, and events that defined the 2000s. Also in the issue, we look ahead at the season’s most anticipated books in our Spring Preview; visit with veteran publisher Kim McArthur as she attempts to reinvent McArthur & Company; and examine the secret nine-to-five lives of Canadian authors. All that, plus reviews of new books by Todd Babiak, Ruth Ohi, Ann Vanderhoof, Richard Scrimger, and more.
