Publishers: "assistants of evil"
Over the weekend, CBC.ca ran a story about book-banning in Iran. It’s a little short on concrete details (The writer says that Iran “has banned thousands of books,” but gives no real sense of when), but makes up for this with a bumper crop of colourful quotes from Iranian culture minister Mohammed Hossein, who calls publishers “assistants of evil” and claims they should stop serving “a poisoned dish to the young generation.”
