Barack rising

More good news for Democrats in the U.S. — Barack Obama’s new book, The Audacity of Hope, is a blockbuster #1 hit. The New York Times reports that the Illinois senator has so far sold through close to 200,000 copies of the book, which the Times describes as something of an odd duck: “not a tell-all, not quite a memoir and not a straight polemic.” As bookseller Mark LaFramboise of Washington’s Politics and Prose tells the Times: “Obama is out of the ballpark completely…. We’re expecting this to just build and build and build.”
