Clive James at The Australian
The Australian has a long interview with critic and bestselling memoirist Clive James. He talks about the war on terror, Australian politics, and, um, his inability to be monogamous. “If my libido could have been given a face,” he says, “it would have been the face of Robbie Williams singing a one-night date at a training camp for cheerleaders.”
He also gives a rundown of all his planned projects for the future, which he’d like to have 40 years to complete, though at the age of 67 he admits this isn’t likely to happen. Here’s hoping he gets around to completing the “tango operetta in which I write the lyrics, I narrate, I act, and I dance.”
