Canadian author on Jeopardy!
Please note, that’s on Jeopardy! not in jeopardy. (Newfoundland author Michael Winter’s recent fall into an incinerator is enough death-defying danger for one week’s headlines.)
YA author Gillian Chan’s appearance on the popular game show airs tonight. According to her blog, Chan, who lives in Dundas, Ont., became a contestant after completing an online test in March and auditioning in May. The show was taped in September in New York.
Chan, the author of Golden Girl and other stories (Kids Can Press, 2005) says she is not allowed to reveal how she fared in the competition before it airs but promises to write more about the experience later on.
