The knitting author
Nancy Lee, the Vancouver author of Dead Girls, asks readers of her blog the following question: “What happens when a writer tries to turn her primary means of procrastination into a legitimate undertaking?”
Far from being rhetorical, this question has a linked answer. It turns out that Lee has started a knitting charity, Sheltering Stitch, that collects hand-knit items for Vancouver’s homeless.
Readers of Quillblog may have come to expect a certain tone from us, but there’s absolutely nothing snarky we can say about that.
