IFOA gets in on blog action

Harbourfront’s International Festival of Authors has launched its very own blog to promote the festival over the next couple of months (this year’s IFOA runs from October 18-28). So far, postings are few — the blog only kicked off a couple of days ago — but there is a brief Q&A with De Niro’s Game author Rawi Hage, with the promise of more spotlights on appearing authors to come in the future. We learn that Hage is a fan of the music of Fela Kuti and of Knut Hamsun’s classic novel Hunger, and that his favourite place to visit is Beirut. (Hage’s novel, which is set years ago in the war-battered city, is sadly timely again.)
