Media/Reviewing, Opinion

That horse is not dead yet

Writer and blogger Ryan Bigge, one half of the Bigge-vs.-McLaren review feud, has posted a remarkably even-handed summation of the media tempest in a teapot caused by his vitriolic dismissal of McLaren’s debut novel. After summarizing the various reactions in the media to the feud, Bigge draws a few pithy conclusions, including one that puts it all into perspective: “I was heartened to learn that some people don’t care about either me or her — or, even better, have no inkling of who either of us are. That is healthy. That is good.”
