The Tournament of Books, round 2
For the second year in a row, the U.S. website The Morning News is hosting a “Tournament of Books,” in which a group of litbloggers and other critics will whittle a list of 16 prominent 2005 books down to one final champion over a couple of weeks. The actual critical jousting is still a few weeks away, but TMN has posted some introductory comments and the list of contenders. And on that list is David Bergen’s Scotiabank Giller Prize-winning The Time in Between (McClelland & Stewart).
