Canadian Arts Coalition launches election website

Over the holidays, the Canadian Arts Coalition (CAC) launched VoteArts2006.ca, a website devoted to keeping the arts front and centre during the federal election campaign. The website allows Canadians to express their support for the arts and the government’s recent pledge to increase funding to the Canada Council. The site directs visitors to the contact information for candidates in their ridings and provides such resources as an adaptable form letter that can be sent to politicians. The CAC’s goal is to acquire new government funding for the arts to the tune of five dollars per Canadian.
