Globe launches weekday books column

Quelling at least some industry fears over the ever-diminishing number of Canadian media outlets devoted to books, The Globe and Mail launched its weekday book review column today. Entitled “Book a Day,” the column kicked off with a review by John Allemang of a book that’s already been written about widely: New York Times op-ed columnist and Pulitzer Prize-winner Maureen Dowd’s take on the war of the sexes, Are Men Necessary?

In early October, Q&Q Omni reported that the column was coming, perhaps as early as mid-October.
