The manic Booker
Reading the entire Man Booker Prize longlist is such a formidable achievement that the BBC has made it into a contest. BBC Four is now selecting six readers who will effectively inhale the 20 longlisted books in 28 days, all the while keeping a video diary of their efforts, all to determine their take on which books should make the shortlist. The contest (and video footage) will be part of a new programme on BBC Four.
