Want to be a paperback writer?

Two sites have recently posted reality checks for up-and-coming writers. On the lit weblog Paperback Writer: write at least two books per year (four is better) in more than one genre. On TheTyee.ca: one book is quite enough. Expect bad sleep patterns, stress, and dumb questions from the media.
