A group of British children’s authors and illustrators are trying to issue a reality check in the wake of J.K. Rowling’s wildly successful writing. In a survey entitled “Not All of Us are Rowling in it,” 117 writers from the Society of Authors claim that 7% of them made nothing last year, while some work for as little as 2p an hour.
