Bryson book to make science fun

Bill Bryson has sealed a deal that will see A Short History of Nearly Everything distributed to every secondary school in Britain. The project, which is partially funded by The Royal Society of Chemistry, is intended to help make science more fun for students who, as the BBC reports, have been losing interest in areas like physics and chemistry. In an interview in The Independent, Bryson describes how the purpose of the book dovetails with the new distribution deal: “My idea was that science had to be more exciting than it was made out to be to me when I was at school in America. Science courses, it seemed to me, were a bit dull.”
