Anansi makes nice with booksellers

House of Anansi Press is one of the first Canadian publishers to begin selling its own titles directly to consumers online, so it’s probably no coincidence that the press is now also using its site to make nice with Canadian indie bookstores. A notice on the Anansi home page announces the imminent creation of a Booksellers Section, which will list indies and spotlight a different one each month, “in recognition of the independent ‘bricks and mortar’ vanguard of the book selling business.” The section proper isn’t up yet, but there’s already a Bookseller of the Month for May: A Different Drummer Books in Burlington, Ontario.
