York University sociology professor Alan B. Simmons has won the Nathan Keyfitz Book Prize for his 2010 title Immigration and Canada: Global and Transnational Perspectives, published by Canadian Scholars’ Press.

The biannual award, given to a scholar “who has published a book on a topic of concern to Canadian demography and population studies,” is presented by the Canadian Population Society.
